MARIE CLAIRE COLLABORATED WITH THE DESIGNER DUO GAURI AND NAINIKA TO LAUNCH THEIR LATEST COLLECTION AT THE FDCI X LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK

Mumbai, March 22nd, 2021 (GNI): Marie Claire, a women-centric fashion footwear brand under the Bata India umbrella, collaborated with the stellar designer duo Gauri & Nainika, to launch their exquisite collection at the joint phygital seasonless FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week, March 16 – 21. After a successful association in last year’s edition, this was Bata India’s second partnership with Lakmé Fashion Week. The association will aid Bata India in further strengthening its image as a fashion-forward, millennial-centric brand.

The special collaboration between both the brands is an amalgamation of distinctly feminine design philosophies, which is about escaping the monotony of life and stepping into a world of dreams and whimsy. Sometimes just an outfit change can change your perspective and lift your spirits, and that’s precisely the sentiment that inspired the latest collections by both the brands. Both the brands are all set to wow the fashion-forward audience at FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week.

Commenting on the collaboration, Matteo Lambert, Chief Collection Officer, Bata India Limited said: “We are delighted to collaborate with the talented duo of Gauri and Nainika. We have created something unique and transcendental and what better platform than the prestigious FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week to showcase it. Marie Claire brand was born in Paris and our collections are inspired by the Parisian runways, having statement designs featuring metallic blocks, kitten heels and intricately bejewelled sandals, all curated to delight fashion connoisseurs. We look forward to the collection striking a chord with our fashion-forward audience.”

Commenting on the collaboration Gauri & Nainika said: “Commenting on the collaboration, Gauri & Nainika said, “We loved working with the Marie Claire team for the show. Our collaboration has been an integral part of the design process, as both the brands follow a distinctly feminine design philosophy with the inspiration being very Parisienne. You’ll find an abundance of floral prints in the collection- exploding flora on hues of the earth and sky, cerulean blue, grey, green amongst others in our collection. The Marie Claire shoe collection is statement making and glamorous, yet subtle and timeless, just like the dresses you will find in our line”, stated in the press release.
