MUMBAI, 03rd February 2020 (GNI): Manish is celebrating his 30 years of his incontestable relevance in Bollywood with over 800 movies and innumerable designs. The very first proponent in fashion space to launch the structured role of costume designing in the world’s biggest film industry, Bollywood.
To start this milestone year, Manish chose Bollywood’s superstars Kareena Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan to walk for his first show of this celebration. Inspired from many moods of life in a kaleidoscopic from, the collection walks through the spring in sorbet shades and intricate embroideries which sits ideal for destination and all of 2020 summer weddings.
The collection saw a heavy dose of mosaic and architectural influence with mirrors, sequins, 3-D patterns and holographic accents. Volume sleeves, compact blouses and tiered flared added to the drama of the outfits. This collection took a detour from the traditional red to embrace all the pastels and dreamy tones of ivory. The embroidery was the highlight, this time in structures of scallop, argyles, pillars and cubes. The collection also features the label’s signature Kashmiri threadwork. Ends
