Mumbai, January 14, 2024 (GNI): Pet Fed, famously known as India’s Biggest Pet Festival and the holder of the Limca World Record for the ‘Biggest Dog Carnival,’ concluded the two-day festival of its 4th edition on January 14th, 2024, Sunday, at NESCO VIP Grounds, Goregaon. Pet Fed Mumbai presented by JUSTDOGS, powered by Purina Supercoat India with co-powered by Drools, in association with Mankind’s Petstar and Partnership with ITC Nimyle. We started with a blissful morning full of enthusiasm, love, and expectations! On this day, an increased audience consisting of 3200+ of pets, including dogs, cats, and even iguana and snake, accompanied by NUMBER pet parents and 21k+ pet parents, contributed to a delightful experience of wagging tails and furry moments.

The cutest weekend of the year 2024 had concluded with a plethora of engaging activities, such as –

Security Dog Show: The Security Dog Show was the most happening segment on Day 2. Here, audiences witnessed dogs and their extravagant skills that made their jaws drop and gave them goosebumps while watching them perform. The spectacular enactment was put up by well-trained, real protection dogs and their handler! Being the main highlight of the festival, Mr. Sachin Rawte performed and showcased some skills that were expertise in action through staged detection, explosive deduction, and specialized in detecting narcotics.

Temptation Alley & other games: Pets and their parents enjoyed a delightful array of games, like Red Light Green Light and Hop Skip & Jump. One of the games, Temptation Alley, added a fun twist with tricks, treats, and tempting obstacles. The pets had to go through these obstacles without getting tempted or tricked and reach their final destination, i.e., their parent’s arm! The fastest dog, based on the time taken from the start to the end line, won. The winner is Leo (Breed) from the Small Dog Category and Sugar (Breed) from Large Dog Category.

Gain insightful knowledge through Expert’s Masterclass: In collaboration with Mankind’s PetStar, there were sessions for pet parents and pet lovers that were covered on Day 1 and Day 2. These included Pet First Aid by Dr. Pratyush, Coaster Making by Mr. Rohit Kesari, Pet Nutrition by Dr. Pratyush, Pet Photography by Mr. Shreyansh, Grooming Masterclass & DIY Pet Bow Making by Ms. Andrea Cyrill Khurana. These were some reputable professionals who took sessions on the day of the events.

International Cat Show: Presented in association with the Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India, added a feline touch to the festivities. Mr. Sudhakar Katikineni and Dr. Pradeep Bangalore were the judges for this event who were known internationally as Cat Specialists! The winners for these competitions were: Samad Khan whose pet name is Prada was awarded for Adult Ring and Shahrukh Mujawar whose pet name is Gucci was awarded as Best General.  

Pet’s Got Talent: Witness the magic and fun as pets showed off their skills and talents on the stage. With their cute and phenomenal tricks, they not only won the hearts of the judges but also the whole crowd. From cute handshakes, jumping and leaping across, jumping over the loop, while the crowd cheered, making our show more entertaining and memorable for those who attended it, capturing the essence of the pet community. From agility skills to performing obstacles on the stage, they got a chance to win the Pet’s Got Talent Award along with a paw-some gift hamper! The winners are Bruno, pet of Sanjeev bagging the 1st position followed by 2nd position by Angel pet of: Neelam and and 3rd position by Whiskey Pet of Vardha.

Pet’s Fashion Show: Could pets play and slay? This was the right place to show off their skills and flaunt their beauty! We witnessed many pets dressed as superheroes such as Captain America, Spiderman and Superman; Some styled themselves as bollywood stars and characters such as Munna Bhai MBBS dressed with chains and black outfit, Shah Rukh Khan with cute outfit and guitar reminded us of DDLJ. Some dressed according to their trending theme like Barbie and Oppenheimer. Here we get to see their creativity of the pet parents and pet lovers engaging in this show with their full heart and soul, where pets and their hoomans were dressed in quirky and stylish attires, walked down the ramp in style, and played the pup-arazzi. The Fashion Show judges were Ms. Poorvi Anthony (Co- Founder of JUSTDOGS), Ms. Andrea Cyrill Khurrana (Founder of Petsburgh) and Ms. Malvika Raaj, a celebrity judge famously known for playing Young Kareena Kapoor Khan character ‘Poo’ in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The winners are:
1st was Snowy, pet of Sanjay, 2nd was Laila, pet of Mahesh and 3rd was Sugar, pet of Sai.

Spot Celebrities and many influencers: The crowd rejoiced with love and excitement when Mr. Heartthrob of 90s model and renowned actor of the early 2000s arrived at the festival, Mr. Dino Morea yesterday who stole not only the hearts of the people but also the Show.
Today we had “Punjabi Kudi Living Abroad, named Ruhee Dosani; it was her first time attending the event, stating her excitement and enthusiasm for the festival.
We also welcomed Chef Kunal Kapur who is a brand ambassador of ITC Nimyle, our Hygiene Partner for Pet Fed India.
We also had Mrs. Malvika Raj, a known celebrity who played young poo aka young Kareena Kapoor Khan from the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
Also, we spotted known influencers such as Miti Sharma, Twishaa Bhatt, Richa Evy Sharm and Vishaal Krishna Pandey.

The festival highlighted a designated Play Area featuring agility challenges, ball pools, kitty playpen, and doggo slides. An exclusive international cat zone guaranteed that our feline companions enjoyed their fair share of amusement.

The Adoption Camp remained a main highlight for individuals who would love to contribute to parenting and adding a furry companion to their homes, advocating the adoption principle #AdoptDontShop. Numerous NGOs like YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals), UNICEF, ALL ABOUT THEM, THE ANUBIS TIGER FOUNDATION, WELFARE OF STRAY DOGS & STRAY HAPPY ANIMAL FOUNDATION actively supported this cause. Free entry was offered to the parents of Indie/Desi Pets, promoting and encouraging adoption.

Today, One of the pets got adopted from THE ANUBIS TIGER FOUNDATION. The pet’s name is Caesar, 2.5 year old rescue lab got adopted. 

Pet Fed catered to a diverse range of interests and preferences. From numerous gastronomic food experiences to retail therapy to Engagement Activities, it was all under one roof! Over 100+ stalls offered a retail therapy experience from across the globe, and pet parents could enjoy food and beverages while chilling with their pets. Various carnival and interesting activities such as Tarot Cards and Numerology, Face Painting, Pet Caricatures, Pet Portraits, and many more were discovered.

Here’s what you missed on these two days of Pet Fed Mumbai 2024. FOMO hitting you in 3,2,1:

Limca World Record Holder – Pet Fed, India’s biggest annual pet festival, held the acclaimed Limca Book of Records as the ‘Biggest Dog Carnival.’ With over 962 dogs that participated over two days for the record and a footfall of more than 19,400 humans, this biggest pet socializing festival happened annually across Delhi, Bengaluru & Mumbai.

Master Class– Embracing and caring for a pet involved more than simply offering love and shelter; it went beyond that! Attendees gained valuable insights into grooming, health, and nutrition from reputable and experienced professionals.

International Cat Show in association with Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India- In partnership with the Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India, the festival acknowledged and valued all cat breeds throughout both days of the festival. Participants in games and enjoyed fun activities for the opportunity to earn certificates and trophies.

Security Dog Show – A demonstration by Mr. Sachin Rawte of Security Dog Show showcasing their skill and expertise in searching for drugs and explosives, finding suspicious and miscellaneous items, showcased discipline & obedience, protecting officers and other people, and attacking suspects who fled from officers.

Adoption Camps – Pet Adoption was one of the key highlights of the Pet Fed festival, advocating the rights and lives of homeless and helpless animals in the streets. The festival firmly believed in the motto #AdoptDontShop, aiming to promote awareness about adoption as the preferred method of acquiring a pet, in collaboration with several NGOs.

Dedicated Play Areas for Cats & Dogs – There were designated play zone areas for Cats and Dogs, respectively featuring amenities like the ball pool and Agility Ring for dogs, as well as a covered Cat Zone along with a Kitty PlayPen for cats. This classification guaranteed a delightful time, creating awesome moments for both pets and their owners.

Fashion Show – Could pets play and slay? This was the right place to show off their skills and flaunt their beauty! It was a fun activity where pets and their hoomans were dressed in quirky and stylish attires, walked down the ramp in style, and played the pup-arazzi. Attendees showed off their creativity with their ‘BFF’ AKA ‘Best Furry Friend!’

Retail Therapy & More – With over 100+ stalls from across the globe, pet parents got to indulge and shop from the best of products available in the market. There were also food & beverages available for visitors where they could chill with their pets: Eat, Drink, Play, Celebrate & Repeat!

Free Desi Ticket – Claimed a way to get a free desi ticket. If you got an Indie Pet, then there was your way to get a DESI TICKET for FREE! This was to encourage people to adopt our beloved Indies and give them a forever home, with Free Entry extended to the parents of Indie/Desi Pets at the festivals.
