Mumbai, January 13, 2024 (GNI)1: Pet Fed, 1 known as India’s Largest & Biggest Pet Festival and the holder of the Limca World Record for the ‘Biggest Dog Carnival,’ commenced the initial day of its 4th edition at NESCO VIP Grounds, Goregaon on January 13th, 2024, Saturday. This Festival is presented by JUSTDOGS, powered by Purina Supercoat India, co-powered by Drools, in association with Mankind’s Petstar and in Partnership with ITC Nimyle. The commencement of this festival was a treat to the eyes with a delightful morning of enthusiastic & engaging audience consisting of 1700 pets, including dogs, cats, and even iguanas and snake, and accompanying them were around 9800 pet enthusiasts and parents, contributing to a delightful vibe of wagging tails and furry moments.

The cutest weekend of the year 2024 commenced with a plethora of engaging activities, such as –

  • Award Presentation for Fab Indie Winners: The Fab Indie Social Media Contest was organized to recognize and acknowledge Indie Pets. There were over 20+ entries who showed their interest in this contest. There were 3 winners, 2 dogs and 1 cat, Milo (@milo_the_god_of_mischeif_), Bella (@het_shah_28), and Simba (simba_the_indiancat), respectively. 
  • Award Presentation for Mascot Winners: Pet Fed India organized Mumbai’s Biggest Pet Mascot Hunt and received over 100+ entries out of which two of them became the Mascot for Pet Fed 2024 Mumbai. Being a mascot is such a proud feeling, they also got an amazing goodie hamper and VIP Treatment for their work and efforts they put it to be No. 1. There were 2 winners: 1 dog named Aura (@pupstar_aura) and 1 cat named Lilly (@lilly_meow_).
  • Temptation Alley & other games: Pets and their parents enjoyed a delightful array of activities, like Trick Relay, Musical Mutts, and Feed The Dog. One of the games, Temptation Alley, adds a fun twist with tricks, treats, and tempting obstacles. the pet has to go through these obstacles without getting tempted or tricked and reach its final destination i.e. your parent’s arm! The fastest dog, based on time taken from the start to end line, wins. 
  • Gain insightful knowledge through Expert’s Masterclass: In collaboration with Mankind’s PetStar, there will be sessions and trainings for pet parents and pet lovers that will be covered on Day 1 and Day 2 which include Pet Health & Nutrition by Dr. Gauri, Coaster Making Mr. Rohit Kesari, Pet Photography by Mr. Shreyansh, Grooming Masterclass & DIY Pet Bow Making by Ms. Andrea Cyrill Khurana and Training masterclasses by Mr. Sachin Rawte. These are some reputable professionals who will be taking sessions on the day of the events. The registrations for these classes are on the spot!
  • International Cat Show: Presented in association with the Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India, added a feline touch to the festivities. Mr. Sudhakar Katikineni and Dr. Pradeep Bangalore are the judges for this event who are known internationally as Cat Specialists! 
  • Spot Celebrities and many influencers: The crowd rejoiced with love and excitement when Mr. Heartthrob of 90s model and renowned actor of the early 2000s arrived at the festival, Mr. Dino Morea who stole not only the hearts of the people but also the Show. He interacted with some of the known brands like JUSTDOGS, Drools, Supercoat Purina, and even more. He took the stage interacting with the audience and furry friends. Also, we spotted known influencers such as Vishaal Krishna Pandey and Manisha Sharma and other celebrities like Shweta Gulati, Dheeraj Dhooper, Ananchal Munjal and well known Roadie contestant and Wildlife Rescuer, Abhirup Kadam. 

Day 2 promises even more excitement with activities like Pet’s Got Talent, Pet’s Fashion Show, another International Cat Show, and a special act by Mumbai’s Security Dog Show by Sachin Raawte. Being the main highlight of the festival. Mr. Sachin will perform and showcase some skills which are expertise in action through staged detection, explosive deduction, and specialized in detecting narcotics.

Numerous NGOs like YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals), UNICEF, ALL ABOUT THEM, THE ANUBIS TIGER FOUNDATION, WELFARE OF STRAY DOGS & STRAY HAPPY ANIMAL FOUNDATION actively support this cause. Free entry is offered to the parents of Indie/Desi Pets, promoting and encouraging adoption.

Pet Fed caters to a diverse range of interests and preferences. From numerous gastronomic food experiences to retail therapy to Engagement Activities, you can find it under one roof! Over 100+ stalls offer a retail therapy experience from across the globe, and pet parents can enjoy food and beverages while chilling with their pets. Limca World Record Holder – Pet Fed, India’s biggest annual pet festival, holds the acclaimed Limca Book of Records as the ‘Biggest Dog Carnival.’ With over 962 dogs that participated over two days for the record and footfall of more than 19,400 humans, this biggest pet socializing festival happens annually across Delhi, Bengaluru & Mumbai.
  2. Expert Masterclass- Embracing and caring for a pet involves more than simply offering love and shelter; it goes beyond that! Gain valuable insights into grooming, health, and nutrition from reputable and experienced professionals.
  3. International Cat Show in association with Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India – In partnership with the Global Feline Alliance and Cat Club Of India, we are proud to acknowledge and value all cat breeds throughout both days of the festival. Participate in games and enjoy fun activities for the opportunity to earn certificates and trophies
  1. Security Dog Show – A demonstration by Mr. Sachin Rawte of Security Dog Show showcasing their skill and expertise in searching for drugs and explosives, locating missing people, finding crime scene evidence, protecting officers and other people, and attacking suspects who flee from officers. This show will take place on the final day of the Pet Festival.
  2. Adoption Camps – Pet Adoption is one of the key highlights of our Pet Fed festival, advocating the rights and lives of homeless and helpless animals in the streets. We firmly believe in the motto #AdoptDontShop, aiming to promote awareness about adoption as the preferred method of acquiring a pet, in collaboration with several NGOs.
  3. Dedicated Play Areas & Agility Ring – There are designated play zone areas for Cats and Dogs, respectively featuring amenities like the ball pool and Agility Ring for dogs, as well as a covered Cat Zone along with a Kitty PlayPen for cats. This classification guarantees a delightful time, creating awesome moments for both pets and their owners.
  1. Fashion Show – Can your pet play and slay? This is the right place to show off your skills and flaunt your beauty! This is a fun activity where pets and their hoomans are dressed in quirky and stylish attires and walk down the ramp in style and play the pup-arazzi. Show off the creativity with your BFF AKA Best Furry Friend!
