Post Inauguration Interview of the B Medical Systems’ First Manufacturing Plant in Mundra, Gujarat, India

Mumbai, 7th February 2022 (GNI): B Medical Systems’s first Manufacturing Plant in Mundra, Gujarat, India, is being inaugurated in January 2022. In its more than 40-year history, B Medical Systems has never had a manufacturing plant outside of Luxembourg. It has invested more than Rs. 100 Crore on this state-of-the-art technology plant. It has partnerships with several leading pharma players like Dr. Reddy’s, 1mg, etc. It’s goal is to build India the world’s vaccine cold chain capital. It will fulfill the cold chain needs of national and state immunization programmes, as well as the medical cold chain needs of hospitals, laboratories, the pharmaceutical industry, and the blood transfusion sector. The facility can manufacture approx. 25,000 units in a quarter. However, we can scale up the throughput, in case of higher demand. The facility will produce world-class medical cold chain equipment for the secure storage and transportation of temperature-sensitive specimens such as vaccinations, pharmaceutical preparations, and pharmaceutical preparations, medications etc.
