Mumbai, 10th October 2020 (GNI): Mumbai Indo-Canadian Business man, Mr Hemant M Shah an NRI being a popular search on Google shares his Experience amid Corona Virus Lockdown.
Indo-Canadian Businessman, Mr Hemant M Shah a Mumbaikar, flew Canada from India holding love for his country, Bharat in 1978 to Winnipeg Canada in the search of his dream work. Being a proud Indian residing in Canada he is sometimes held back by the society being called as non-required Indian. He mentions that he and the other NRIs (Non Resident Indians) residing in Canada are blessed with two mothers; India-The Maatrbhoomi and Canada-The Karmbhoomi just like Lord Krishna who had two mothers. Mr Hemant Shah a Mumbai Based Indo Canadian Businessman, trading between India and Canada for over 5 decades. When he flew Canada, started trading between the two countries, at that time India lacked google, Social media, internet etc. Being involved in social media and news describing Indo-Canada trade and various other activities since 4 decades, he became the most searched name on google especially during this Pandemic. During this Pandemic when the whole world suffered global crises. On March 14 2020, Mr Hemant Shah paying a visit to his origin, India left for Canada witnessed situations were worse in his Karmbhoomi.
During this Lockdown he became a Vocal from Canada, a migrant worker saying that Mumbai the busiest city in India being under lockdown is depressed. He shared a motivational video to uplift the courage of Mumbaikars. This made his name the most searched in Google. He says: “when you make a vocal on serious issues or crises whether sitting on another corner of earth, you are heard by the politicians, the NGOs, celebrities etc. then everybody joins you.”
COVID 19 Pandemic created instability amongst the migrants. He made an appeal to the NRIs Globally. After this the NRIs achieved a huge success in their own respective countries at a global level. He says that maybe this was the reason he got a front headline in google.  “The Toilet Paper Video from a grocery store of Canada where people were shown fighting amongst each other for toilet paper went viral during this pandemic. This was a heart-breaking moment for humanity; a time when people are supposed to be each other, helping each other, some people for just publicity made this video viral. This is wrong”: says Mr Hemant Shah. He made a Vocal on this critical scenario and posted it in media appealing to pull this out. He is currently working  as Volunteer with  organisation in Canada called Canada-India foundation in Toronto.as well In Winnipeg “Victoria Life Line”Specially for senior citizen. He mentioned that this foundation did a remarkable work during this Pandemic as they served food, they looked after all the health care workers in Canada. He got involved in this organisation with his community in Winnipeg. He kept motivating people via phone.
Created 180 Pilots in Canada, Mr Hemant connected with Aviation Industry providing careers to the youths. He made vocals and wrote articles about the crises faced by Aviation and Tourism industry of India and appealed the government to help them out. He says, “when all the airports in India comes under infrastructure why not airlines and tourism industry comes under the priority sectors of yours” to the government.
Before Corona Virus Pandemic earth dealt with SARS, Spanish Flu but no one thought that 2020 COVID pandemic was coming. He says that crises are going to be there. Adding, this affected people from everywhere on earth. Everyone is trying their best to combat but the biggest crises will be faced by airline industries, travel industries and the hospitality industries all over the world. This Epidemic taught us to live our life differently, gave us new thinking, people started working from their home and got time for themselves and family. “This changed the thinking of people’s mind set. If we take it in a positive way it taught us a lot. People got time to take a break from their busy schedule”: said Mr Hemant Shah. He shows his gratitude towards the government, Charity workers like NGOs etc. and health care workers for working outdoors during this epidemic.
