New Delhi, 11th September 2020 (GNI): R. K. Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, New and Renewable Energy and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, will inaugurate a host of facilities developed by NTPC in Bihar at NTPC Barh (1320 MW) and two wholly-owned subsidiaries of NTPC- Nabinagar (NPGCL, 660 MW) and Kanti (KBUNL, 610 MW).
These facilities have been developed for the benefit and upliftment of communities of the region as part of NTPC’s CSR initiative.
Singh will inaugurate two Community Centres- Sahnaura and Sahari at Barh. He will also inaugurate 3 km long Meh-Indrapuri Barrage Road at Nabinagar and the Main Gate Complex of Kanti in Bihar. The construction of these facilities and infrastructure will make the life convenient for the locals, improve access and help save travel time.
The inauguration ceremony will also be graced by Smt. Veena Devi, MP, Vaishali, Mahabali Singh, MP, Karakat, Sushil Kumar Singh, MP, Aurangabad, Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, MP, Munger, Ashok Kumar Choudhary, Hon’ble MLA, Kanti, Gyanendra Kumar Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Barh, Virendra Kumar Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Nabinagar along with Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC, senior officials of Ministry of Power, NTPC, and Administration of Bihar.
NTPC has always strived to serve its communities with the best of facilities and ensure that the adjoining areas are developed holistically. The projects, which will be inaugurated by R.K. Singh, stand testimony to NTPC’s commitment towards all round progress in its operational areas so that locals can also prosper and have access to best of facilities.
Films on Community Centre at Sahnaura and Sahari (Barh), Renovation work on Meh-Indrapuri Barrage Road (Nabinagar), KBUNL Main Gate Complex (Kanti), NPGCL Service Building (Nabinagar), Shopping Complex (Barh), and Main Plant Canteen (Barauni) will be shown on the occasion.ends
