ROYAL SALUTE PLATINUM JUBILEE EDITION ARRIVES IN MUMBAI

Mumbai, 14th April 2023 (GNI): Mumbai Duty Free is delighted to share that an incredibly rare decanter of the Royal Salute Platinum Jubilee Edition is now available to purchase at their store in departures at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

In 2022, Royal Salute, the master of exceptionally aged Scotch whisky, launched an ultra-prestigious limited-edition expression to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. 

Expertly crafted by Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, the Royal Salute Platinum Jubilee Edition is a bespoke and intricately layered blend that includes some exceptionally high-aged spirits from no fewer than seven silent stills, each now lost to time. 

While their reputation lives on, the rarity of the remaining whisky means that this unique expression, with red apple notes of the Inverleven Distillery, the blackcurrant vibrancy of Lochside and the rich toffee of Caperdonich, can never be repeated. 

Curated with special significance and symbolism, blending traditionalism with modernity, this is a limited-edition expression inspired by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s sartorial flare, celebrating her iconic style within the bottle design. 

To honour the Queen’s seven decades of reign, Royal Salute aptly chose seven of her iconic brooches, the designs of which have been engraved on seven different decanters and box designs, with a colour palette reflective of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s famous wardrobe. 

One of these extraordinary editions draws inspiration from Adelaide’s Brooch, which, as the name suggests, was originally made for Queen Adelaide of the United Kingdom, the wife of King William IV. The jewel, which was originally used as a clasp on a pearl necklace, was commissioned by William as a gift for his wife in 1831, their coronation year. 

A total of just 21 Adelaide’s Brooch crystal decanters have been released worldwide and one of these decanters, No.20 is now available for purchase in India only at Mumbai Duty Free for RRP USD 20,000.

ROYAL SALUTE HOUSE OF QUINN BY RICHARD QUINN ARRIVES IN MUMBAI

In addition to the launch of the Royal Salute Platinum Jubilee decanter, Mumbai Duty Free is proud to announce the arrival of another rare decanter also launched by the brand in 2022. 

As revealed last year, Royal Salute partnered with the rising star and British fashion designer Richard Quinn, wherein Master Blender Sandy Hyslop created a limited edition, high-end blended malt scotch whiskey. 

The first of its kind, this edition is a treasure of craft and delicacy, where the bottle design is as remarkable as the liquid inside it. The decanters are hand-blown in an elegant black crystal, paying tribute to Quinn’s edgy and chic style. The pattern on the bottle, which was designed by Richard Quinn, was individually hand painted on each decanter by expert craftsmen and finished with hand-applied precious gold leaf. This collectible comes with an amazing 100% fine silk pocket square. Designed and printed by Richard Quinn himself exclusively for this edition, this scarf has been produced for Royal Salute only. 

The liquid itself is crafted with a unique and rare selection of Scotland’s finest aged whiskies. Beautifully balancing floral and oaky notes, this superb blend is a perfect tribute to Quinn’s flamboyant and edgy style. A total of just 200 House of Quinn decanters have been released worldwide, and one such decanter is now available for purchase in India only at Mumbai Duty Free for RRP USD 12,000, stated in a press release.ends GNI SG
