Art is the concrete representation of our most subtle feelings. These subtle feeling are well expressed by a national acclaimed artist Inderjeet Grover in his paintings. Through brushstrokes and spatula he beautifully has perceived his unique personal memories of daily life , and emotions on the canvas. The artist demonstrates his power of observation and play well with colors. His work is mixture of impression and expression and each painting tells its own story and nostalgic experience.

Grover draws inspiration from things and by event one encounters every day. He said “Every object conveys its own story and every moment teaches you something. It only thing that matters is how you define it”. He has beautifully shown his perception of Indian life.

Inderjeet capture moments, his work comprises of landscape, events related  to dancers, musician, market place, village life, Surajkund mela, and serene beauty of Banaras Ghats. He depicted Ghats of Banaras that reflects impressionist style capturing moments and passion of Banaras Ghats in his own way with. Kashi/Banaras – as,  the religious capital of India,  is famous for its spiritual and historical significance,  magical vibrations, tranquil and at the same time teeming Ghats with devotees has  always been inspiration from generations for artists. Inderjeet Grover is no exception to get attracted towards vivid colors of Ghats, temples, pilgrims, and river Ganges and the city of Banaras that spills over in the Ganges and captured vibrantly.

Most of his artworks are presented in diffusion form to give feeling of realism. He demonstrated combination of diffusion and realism through his ways desiring to create works that reflected the world in which they lived.  His painting have dramatization of pastels shades with huge vibrant colors used in most of the painting and was able to capture the elegance of dancer and musician beautifully and in an accurate way. He himself has a strong background as a light Indian Vocalist, theatre and his own professional field that is Visual art.

“Features and details are done in semi realistic way in bold strokes and merging colors rather than doing them minutely. I use spatula instead of brush.  Boldness of strokes brings the work quite near to realism” says Inderjeet

Over the span  of the last three decades, Inderjeet Grover has received numerous accolades including award for the ‘Youngest Organizer in The Capital and he has vast  experience organizing events related to dance music, dramatics , visual art upto national level over last 30 years, As an artist, Inderjeet has spreaded his wings more than a hundred Art Exhibitions  since 1994 as solo, dual  and group exhibitions. He has been imparting his experience of knowledge in art and education through various seminars, workshop, and talk shows globally.

Surprisingly, the title of all Grover’s previous exhibition is same “journey”.

“My all exhibition’s titles  are same as life is a journey which continues”. It is journey for passion that makes you keep moving. We are travelling every moment constantly in search of something in the world and in the journey within .So in this way journey continues and never end in our life”.

As one of the biggest achievement of his life as former director North Central Zonal Cultural Centre – ministry of culture has given support to a record number of Artists  in a transparent manner.  His position as Nodel officer during Prestigious Kumbh mela 2019 counts his skills as an extraordinary professional who organized various cultural events for nearly 50 days at 3 different venues along with his team, which has brought Laurel to his department.

Inderjeet  strongly believes that meditation is the integral part of the creative process. He says “one can meditate through their work”. “It is not only about the exercise one does but also something very the eternal and peaceful that you do your work.

Sharing painfully –“an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, it immediately posed severe challenges to arts and culture around the world. As hubs of creative activity and densely populated areas, cities were particularly affected. Lockdown and social distancing measures and the resulting closure of cultural sites and the suspension of events, impacted arts and culture in profound ways. In many places, the pandemic soon threatened the very survival of local cultural infrastructures and the careers of artists and cultural workers. Alongside the tourism and the hospitality industry, the entire cultural ecosystem1 was and remains among the fields most affected by the pandemic. Urgently, what needed is that our system and all those in organizing art and culture oriented events should be on their toes and give the maximum platforms for the survival of artists. Many of the free lancers in various forms of art are suffering like never before, they genuinely need a boost. Its again painful to see the handful of FAVORITES are promoted over and again by getting tremendous opportunities which should be given on rotation basis but not-“ stated Inderjeet. A serious thought must be given collectively , as again I strongly believe that its  rich and vibrant art and culture  only,  which is pride of our Nation unlike many other areas.
