Mumbai – 10th May 2022 (GNI): To create entrepreneurs and provide opportunities to thousands of people to begin new lives with new startups and micro-businesses in different districts of Maharashtra, YouthAid Foundation has launched Rajyavyapi Udyamita Yatra. Shri Rajesh Tope, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Govt of Maharashtra, today flagged off Rajyavyapi Udyamita Yatra Bus from Vidhan Bhavan, which will travel through 36 districts of Maharashtra over the next 40-days.
Rajyavyapi Udyamita Yatra is being organized by YouthAid Foundation in collaboration with Maharashtra State Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Development Society and other like-minded NGOs from different parts of Maharashtra.
Shri Rajesh Tope, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, Govt of Maharashtra said, “COVID 19 Pandemic has disrupted the livelihoods of many urban, rural, and tribal poor populations. It is our commitment to helping them by creating opportunities to re-start and revive business activity. For the next 40 days, this yatra will run through 36 districts ensuring a statewide outreach to people who really in need of appropriate livelihood options.”
Mr. Mathew Mattam, Founder of YouthAid Foundation said, “The foundations’ trainers who will meet and train 4000 entrepreneurs through the entire route of 4000 kilometers travel covering 36 districts. They will also meet more than 40,000 people during this yatra and provide training to start micro-business, awareness in schools and colleges on entrepreneurs, and interact with people who have an idea but don’t know how to go ahead with starting their business innovations as well as to create a entrepreneurial mindset among the people.”
As a part of Rajyavyapi Udyamita Yatra, there will be a 3-day entrepreneurship training program in each district. YouthAid Foundation will provide support for legal compliances, and information about Govt. schemes and link those schemes to entrepreneurs after they complete training besides providing marketing support to start 4000 micro-businesses by end of the December in all over 36 districts.
Even after the completion of Rajyavyapi Udyamita Yatra, the trained entrepreneurs will continue to receive support from YouthAid Foundation, which will help create self-employment at the local level and migration will reduce from villages to cities. The yatra plays an important role to encourage local entrepreneurs, businesses, and local markets will be developed. The yatra also will reach youth to create an entrepreneurial mindset among them so that they need not be job seekers, but instead job creators. This yatra will be part of the foundation’s larger goal to reach 1 million entrepreneurs by 2030, added Mr. Mattam.
Udyamita Yatra will help the people to nurture their business ideas and mentor them towards business growth so that they can make their presence in the entrepreneur eco-system and contribute to inclusive socio-economic growth. Lastly, this yatra is contributing toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat), a concept propagated by the Government of India.
