Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Launches CREDAI Awaas App: Touts Virtual Home Buying as Future of the Realty Sector

Mumbai, 31st July 2020 (GNI): To facilitate and ease the process of safe home buying, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs publicly launched “CREDAI Awaas App” and NAREDCO’s online portal “HousingforAll.com”. The launch was done at a webinar today by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister Housing and Urban Affairs & Civil Aviation. The initiative aims to provide a credible platform for prospective home buyers and help them interact with developers directly.

CREDAI Awaas App is India’s largest residential project discovery online platform through which buyers will be able to virtually explore and experience the projects from 220 cities across the country.  The app aims to facilitate transparent home buying in India of RERA approved projects by CREDAI developers.

Benefits of CREDAI Awaas App:

–          Supports Government of India in their efforts to ease the process of buying a home

–          Protects home buyers interest by bringing them on a common platform with credible developer members of CREDAI, thereby avoiding middlemen and ensuring transparency in transactions

–          Improved trust between developers and homebuyers.

–          Help establish a transparent ecosystem for real estate sector and spread awareness and information amongst buyers, developers, RERA members, and all stakeholders such as builders and financiers on a single platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, “We are happy that CREDAI and NAREDCO have launched the CREDAI Awaas App and Housingforall.com portal. This is a significant milestone for home-buying.  The launch of affordable housing Complex is a very significant step in achieving Honorable PM Modi’s vision of Housing for all by 2022.”

MOHUA had directed Real Estate Associations – CREDAI & NAREDCO at the 3rd RERA Conclave held at Lucknow in 2019 to launch online  project discovery platforms which would be RERA regulated and would help the sector be more proficient when it comes to home buying. The CREDAI Awaas app will aid developers in selling their finished projects faster and improve home buyer’s sentiment at large.
