MLWB, Naigaon ‘A’ and Sindhutara Sports Club in Inter-club Team Championship Final. Top Seeded Ayesha Mohd. Upset.

MUMBAI, JAN 10 (GNI) Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board, Naigaon ‘A’ & Sindhutara Sports Club overcame Worli Sports Club & Vijay Carrom Club by 2-1, 3-0 margin to enter Inter-Club Team Championship  finals in the 25th Senior Mumbai DISTRICT CARROM CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 being sponsored by Bank Of Maharashtra, LIC Of India & ONGC is being organised as part of Silver Jubilee Year Celebration of Mumbai District Carrom Association between 6th January to 11th January 2016 being held at  Maharashtra state Bharat Scout & Guide Pavillion, in Mumbai.  This Prestigious Championship being held under the guidance of Shri. Pradeep Mayekar-President, Shri. Shivkumar Lad-Chairman, Shri. Arun Kedar-Vice President & Shri. Yatin Thakur-Hon. Secretary, MDCA. 

In the Inter-Club Team Championship Semi-final MLWB, Naigaon ‘A’ team scored a hard fought victory over Sindhutara Sports Club by 2-1 margin to enter Finals. In the first singles Former State Champion Anant Gayatry  came a cropper against Faim Kazi in a pulsating three game encounter 25- 12, 14-25, 11-25. In the second singles Vinit Dadarkar overcame Sunil Dabholkar 25-9, 25-3 in a straight games encounter to make 1-1. In the concluding doubles tie Alankar Naik / Santosh Pujari overcame Vilas Zite / Girish Bhandari 25-7, 11-25, 25-17 in thrilling three game encounter to give a 2-1 winning margin to enter final. In the second semi-final  Sindhutara Sports Club overcame Vijay Carrom Club by 3-0 margin to enter final. 

In the women singles second round match former state & National Champion Sangeeta Chandorkar of Reserve Bank toppled top ranked former saarc & state Champion Ayesha Mohd. of Jain Irrigation in a straight games duel 25-6, 25-15. In another match Nilam Ghodke of BOI overcame Anjali Siripuram of LIC Of India in thrilling three game encounter 25-10, 8-25, 25-7 to enter third round. 

In the Men singles Dinesh Mahadik of BEST overcame Mahesh Kuperkar of RBI in a thrilling three game encounter 15-25, 25-16, 25-3 to enter third round. In another match Shankar Sawardekar of Ashlay Carrom Club overcame Baliram Kairamkonda of LIC Of India in three game encounter 25-13, 14-25, 25-10 to advance further.
In veteran singles Yatin Thakur of Central Railway Institute blanked Pramod Mayekar of Sachivalaya Gymkhana 25-10, 25-4 in straight games to advance further. Pradeep Bhide of Shivaji Park Gymkhana overcame Pradeep Khot of Sindhutara S. C. 25-8, 7-25, 25-0 in a three game encounter to reach third round. 
So for in this Championship 18 Break to Finishes & 8 Black to Finishes have been recorded.Important Results
