Mumbai, 8th March 2022 (GNI): It is in the face of extreme bullying that has been happening on the daily since over 2 weeks that Kenisha Awasthi unveiled the official trailer of her new song “Hiss”Story – a definitive response to address toxic fans of a seemingly clueless /disinterested rapper .The track is based on the culture of toxic fandom and the utter nonresponsive demeanor of artists in the face of their unruly fans and the harm they could be causing another artist or another human being- regardless of whether he/she is famous or not .
Every artist at some point in his/her journey faces negative comments but true courage lies in facing these disparaging talks head-on. Kenisha’s track is a slap to all those who have challenged and mocked her abilities to write and to make a valid argument justifying her reasons to not gravitate to a specific artist .
Commenting on her rap track she says “ “Hiss”Story is my way of claiming my right to freedom of speech and choice by clapping back to vicious criminal minded self-proclaimed fans of a rapper who have dared to threaten me with rape and murder because I chose another musician over their favourite. These trolls have incessantly been sending me rape threats, death threats, obscene slurs and much more. Bullying a person all because they choose to appreciate one artist over another is unacceptable and should be stopped once and for all. Each victim of bullying goes through so much emotionally and mentally. This song will hopefully help people stand up and fight for what is their birth right- freedom of speech and choice .
