The strategically located charging station will be accessible to the hotel’s guests and visitors in the neighborhood

Navi Mumbai, September 19, 2022 (GNI): Four Points By Sheraton Navi Mumbai, Vashi, a unit of Chalet Hotels Limited, has become the first hotel in Navi Mumbai to install an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station in its premises. The charging station was inaugurated today in the presence of the hotel’s Cluster General Manager, Stephen D’Souza, and hotel associates. The hotel has always been committed to sustainability and has introduced several initiatives in the past including the introduction of energy-saving techniques and water conservation measures. Additionally, the property is also guided by Chalet Hotels’ alignment with RE100, EP100, and EV100 initiatives linked to renewable electricity, energy efficiency, and electric mobility, respectively.

The EV Charging Station at Four Points By Sheraton Navi Mumbai, Vashi is a 60 KW dual charger with 02 nos. simultaneous DC output of 30 kW DC Fast charging cable with CCS 2 gun type charging connector. The first charging facility has been inaugurated in collaboration with TecSo Charge Zone limited. These rapid DC charging points provide 80 percent charge in 45 minutes and will be open to the public. The property, which is strategically located close to commercial hubs, residences, and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, foresees that this facility will benefit a significant number of people from communities and neighborhoods in the surrounding areas, and will help to promote a greener environment.

Four Points By Sheraton Navi Mumbai, Vashi has been consistently focusing on aligning its practices with sustainable development goals. Some of the property’s initiatives include installing Building Management System (BMS) for low-side HVAC. The property has also focused on water conservation with a well-placed rainwater harvesting system. In order to sustainably manage waste, the hotel transports its dry waste, used DG engine oil and DG filters for recycling through authorized vendors. Additionally, batteries and other e-waste are discarded through authorized e-waste vendors.
