Archery Association of India (AAI) holds online felicitation for Indian Recurve Team with support from NTPC

Mumbai, May 3rd (GNI): Archery Association of India (AAI) held an online felicitation function today to honour the Indian Recurve team for their stellar performance at the recently concluded Archery World Cup (Stage-1) in Guatemala. In the Women’s and Men’s Individual Recurve event, Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das won the Gold Medal in their respective categories.

Shri Arjun Munda, President, AAI & Union Tribal Minister was the Chief Guest at the function. Shri D.K. Patel, Director (HR), NTPC, Dr. Narinder Dhruv Batra, President, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Shri Sandeep Pradhan, Director General, Sports Authority of India (SAI) were the Guest of Honour.

In his address, Shri Munda congratulated and thanked NTPC for its support for archery in India. He further said that their support has been exemplary, not only in helping the present archers achieve excellence but also has helped in nurturing newer talents for a brighter future, especially during these challenging times.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri D.K. Patel, Director (HR) said, our Indian Archers have brought laurels and glory to the country by winning the Archery World Cup Stage-1.
