The spectacular Lunar Dome was unveiled this evening at the Nehru Planetarium, in Mumbai

MUMBAI, 21st November, 2019 (GNI): The art work installation atop the Nehru Centre has been conceptualized by Sideways and Asian Paints and brought to life through the efforts of St+art India Foundation and veteran artist Sharad.

This is one of the biggest moon installations to be created. A viewing deck has also been set up at the Nehru Center for an unhindered and unforgettable viewing experience. The installation is also a commemoration to the Chandrayaan missions and a hat-tip to the scientists at ISRO. Nehru Planetarium houses some awe-inspiring space installations and has been hosting astronomical events to spark people’s interest in science and space for decades, making it the perfect site for the moon landing.

With this art installation one can see what the Moon’s Southern Hemisphere, along with the Sea of Tranquility and other distinguished crater look like. The artists have attempted to capture the Moon in all its might. Ends
