The Char Dham Yatra registration surpasses 6 lakhs: Only registered devotees will get the token to visit the Dhams

New Delhi/Dehradun 24 March 2023 (GNI): More than 6 lakh people have registered for the next Char Dham Yatra, according to the fresh data released by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB). Registration is ongoing for the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra which will start in April this year. The Uttarakhand Tourist Development Board (UTDB) is offering the registration facility to the devotees through web portal, smartphone app, WhatsApp, and toll-free number in order to make the registration procedure simpler.

The registration process for the Char Dham Yatra is being carried out in accordance with the devotees’ needs. A quick redress of pilgrim travel grievances, an easy tracking of pilgrims, and so forth are offered as part of these facilities. This time, the administration will issue tokens to registered devotees for darshan in order to prevent overcrowding. They will be able to wait for their turn without standing in the queue till the number given on these tokens appears on the display.

Tourism Minister, Uttarakhand Shri Satpal Maharaj said, “We are optimistic that this year’s Yatra would surpass last year’s Yatra’s record in terms of registration and footfalls. This time, we have special provisions for each registered devotee while keeping their conveniences in mind. They will be able to tour each Dham with ease with the tokens we will arrange for them. Only those devotees who have registered will receive tokens, so, we strongly advise everyone who is excited to visit Char Dham to register to avail benefit of the state-of-art facilities while on the yatra.

A total of 6,13,624 registrations for Char Dham Yatra have been done so far which started from February 21, including 2,35,020 for Kedarnath Dham, 1,95,811 for Badrinath Dham, and 92,043 and 90,750 for Gangotri and Yamunotri respectively.

As part of this year’s Char Dham Yatra, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board is offering four different registration options. Yatra registrations can be completed online, over the phone, via WhatsApp, and on a mobile application. For online registration, devotees can register themselves by visiting the website of registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in or uttarakhandtourism.gov.in. To register via WhatsApp, type “yatra” and send it to +91 8394833833. Devotees can register themselves by calling the toll-free number 0135 1364.
