MUMBAI, (GNI): India’s richest sports event (per minute), the countdown to the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby, Mumbai 2019 kicked off with the announcement Press conference today at the RWITC.
Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Divisional Vice President Marketing, United Breweries limited and, Mr. Khusroo Dhunjbhoy, Chairman of the RWITC flagged off the this the fourth edition of the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby with the announcement that there will be a two-day extravaganza of the most awaited horse racing event in the country.

With the Kingfisher Ultra Derby scheduled for Sunday the 3rd of February, the build up to the most anticipated weekend will kick-start with the Derby Weekend – an evening of night racing and musical performances on Saturday the 2nd of February. The Derby Weekend will feature live entertainment that will include musical acts such as Forefront and DJ Chico. The live concert will continue the next day, Sunday the 3rd, with One Empire closing out the evening with a Bohemian Rhapsody cover with some of the greatest music hits of all time
This year’s line-up includes the unbeaten Kingfisher Ultra Bangalore Summer Derby winner, Sir Cecil. A brother to the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby winner from two years ago. This race has not been kind to favourites and time will tell if this champion wins the ultimate prize in horse racing.
