MUMBAI, (GNI):  Tea Trails, a fast growing tea café chain in the country, today launched its first café in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda locality taking its total number of outlets at 10.

Zone8 Tea World Pvt Ltd that runs Tea Trails brand cafes in the country is expanding fast and
aims to be present pan India in coming period. Kala Ghoda outlet is the latest café opened by
the company.

Last month, the company forayed in South India with its first café in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills.
That also marked the brand’s first outlet outside the Mumbai metro region. Kala Ghoda café is the first outlet of the company in South Mumbai. Kala Ghoda area is considered a cultural hub for Mumbaikars and it witnesses activities for artists from all walks of life. The vicinity has heritage structures and art galleries.

“Tea is the brew of choice for art lovers. With the launch of Kala Ghoda cafe, total number of
outlets operated under Tea Trails brand has now reached in double digit i.e. at 10, which is a
milestone for us,” said Mr. Uday Mathur, co-founder Tea Trails.

“We serve around 80 offerings of teas from hot to cold, whites, greens, oolongs and blacks,
handpicked from the best tea gardens of India and around the globe. We also serve a vast
range of tea infused food and hope people will enjoy our curated cuisine,” he added.
This outlet is in lounge format as against a café format that company opened last month in

Hyderabad. At present, there are 8 outlets in Mumbai region and Hyderabad was 9th. Some
more outlets are slated to be launched in coming weeks that includes Chennai and Delhi NCR.
Tea Trails offers a gourmet tea drinking experience to the discerning consumer and brings to
India the fast emerging international trend with a desi twist. It offers carefully curated range of
the finest teas from Indian and around the world.

Tea Trails is working on network expansion plans aggressively and aims to open 500 outlets by
2020. “India is the second largest tea consuming market in the world and there is lack of organized
tea café operators in our country. Tea Trails aspires to cater to this latent demand and be the
category creator with vast franchisee network,” Mr Mathur added.

“Large part of our expansion strategy is based on franchise network development. This model is
asset light with high ROI,” he further added. Launched in late 2013 by a group of entrepreneurs with successful track records, Tea Trails Café has embarked on an interesting journey of changing the rules of the game in the café space. Tea Trails also proposes to merchandise select blends of teas that would be available at premium retail stores and niche online portals, apart from the Tea Trails outlets.
